Taking another leap towards its commitment to excellence, JK Tyre in 2018 inaugurated its Global Technology Centre RPSCoE in Mysuru bringing together the best in class facilities under one roof.
A state –of-the- art facility RPSCoE further fortifies JK Tyre’s continued endeavor towards technological innovations to develop the best products for its customers. In the premises of RPSCoE are JK Tyre’s two most advanced research and development facilities -

A) Hari Shankar Singhania Elastomer and Tyre Research Institute - HASETRI

B) The JK Tyre Tech Centre.

HASETRI

Established in 1991 HASETRI is Asia's first and India’s biggest and foremost research Centre which fulfils need for developing newer and better technologies for tyres and polymers. The primary goal of this autonomous institute is to foster development and evolution of new technologies, for Rubber & Allied Industries, for domestic and international markets and also to develop technical manpower for the industry.

HASTERI, which is over a quarter century old was earlier located at Kankroli (Rajasthan) and Faridabad (Hariyana) before being shifted to RPSCoE, Mysuru. It has been actively engaged in material and compound characterisation & development, advanced analytical testing, process development, predictive technology development and machine design.

TECH CENTRE

Also housed in the RPSCoE compound is the JK Tyre Tech Centre - the hub for new product development catering to current and emerging needs of customers. This centre is engaged in product design, development, validation and industrialization using the most sophisticated tools and techniques covering all categories of tyres including passenger car radial, light truck radial, light truck bias, truck and bus radial, farm & off-the-road tyres and 2/3 wheeler tyres.

The RPS Centre of Excellence, at the Indian Institute of Technology in Chennai, is a perfect example of an Industry-Academia joint venture which is research and development facility setup in collaboration with IIT- Madras. Located at the IIT campus, the Centre facilitates research on various aspects of Tyre Mechanics and Vehicle Dynamics through FEA, mathematical models and experiments.
